DIY Fish Trap

I needed to move a couple of fish back to my new frag tank, plus get the coral beauty into the fish only tank, so tried the 2 liter bottle diy fish trap and caught all of them plus 3 chromis in one evening. It has been a good fishing Day and all the fish are now where they need to be!

3 liter bottles work well for larger fish FWIW.

Where do you get 3liter bottles from? Don't recall seeing them in the grocery store.

I think my wife got some (AWESOME) Root Beef from the Dollar Store that was 3 liter. Maybe it was Shasta brand?

I made a mini version of this with a 20oz bottle...it worked like a charm and in 2 hours I caught four line damsel and a bicolor blenny at the same time... make sure the food you use keeps its form otherwise it might dissipate and float out of the trap
