DIY - Foam/Rock background

Very impressive. I like the idea of the rock salt it's cheaper than using reef sand and it will probably give it a better texture. How tall is that back wall? It looks huge but it may just be the angle the picture was taken.

The panel is 27" tall and 24" wide. The inside of my tank is just over 29" tall. The salt will give it a nice texture, but the salt itself with be washed and soaked off of the foam. Then I will apply Z-Poxy to the foam and I will sprinkle some sand over the Z-Poxy before it hardens. Like I said, it is a big experiment. Will keep you posted with results, good or bad.

In addition, We went down to Reef Systems Coral Farm, north of Columbus and picked up a bunch of Lace Rock to add to the center of the tank, in front of the foam wall.

Pictures to follow.

I'm afraid to see pictures because it will make me be more upset that I didn't do that to my tank. But post them anyway :)
