DIY internal overflow box

My buddy at work hooked me up. If I could figure out how to put the photo on here with my smartphone I would show you how he made it. Question : should I put a fitting on in the bulk head. Like a 90 elbow.

Here goes sump baffling. Yeah !!!! I'm using cd cases for a square. I'm going to do the refugium side first. Then I was planning on do the center bubble trap and on out from there. If the bubble trap order is wrong help me.

Ok how high should the top of the internal overflow box be in relation to the bulkhead. I need answers kinda fast. Silicone is ready to go. Text me 318-9213. It's faster. I'm a night shift worker too. I will be up till morning.

Depends on how much flow you want from sump to return, whether your sump will handle the overflow during a power outage, etc. There is no "standard" answer. Put a 90 after the bulkhead and you can turn it to adjust the height is one option. Experimentation (like most of us do) is the other.

CD cases aren't going to hold the water pressure. Too brittle/thin.

The cd cases are used in the baffle mock up. That is all. They are removed after glue sets in. Sump is done now as well as the overflow box. I need some more valves. I'm using mainly gate valves.
