Diy Kalk reactor

Yes, WeldOn is the brand name.
From what I have read, it is 4" but it has a tolerance on it. But, the inside of a PVC fitting is 4.5"
The mixing pump I used on the proto I built was an MJ1200 but mainly because its what I had at the time.

i had some issues with the maxijet sealing, IMO they are not ideal for being used external, if you can get it to seal then they work good. if not, depending on how much money you want to spend on it, something like a quiet one, or eheim would work good.

aquatic ecosystems has 4.5" acrylic that fits 4" pvc fittings, that is where i got mine from, ill post new pictures of it later when i get home.

$30 when its done, unless i decide to put a recirc pump on it later, but I don't think I'll be doing that for my set up. $5 in scrap acrylic from a local glass shop, $25 in plumbing fixtures. The body's 5x5x18 (18" is the square part, so + whatever the coupling is), and it's a 4" female adapter with a threaded plug cap, or whatever you want to call it, it goes on a clean out, but the female adapter was cheaper and had the 4" inside all the way through where as the clean outs have a reduced size at the bottom.... not that it matters I guess.
