1) The tapes and epoxy are not as efficient at heat transfer.
2) If you want to make a change (burned out LEDs, placement) it is easier with screws. Some have reported good luck with some of the adhesives, but the longer it sits and heat the more solid.

Anyway, all this is probably overkill, but if you're going to buff out your heatsink, this was a real time saver over the polishing compound.

I mapped out where each LED was going to sit.... then just buffed that small area. lol
