Has anybody got any experience with LEDS?
I wanted to go with MHS bu they use so much power, so now the plan is to go with LEDS, if that's a possibility.

Has anyone got any advise or facts for me?

It will be a 60cm tall aquarium with mostly anemones/softies.

I just built a diy led array with 84 3 watt leds on a 4'x2'x2' aquarium. You will need optics on a 60cm deep tank. I used 90 degree optics in mine so I will still get some spread but the directional light optics gives you. If you use too few leds you will get spotlighting effects. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions!

Do you have a build thread on them at all or any pics? Overall how do you like the color and brightness compared to what you had before?

LED is the way to go.

LED is the way to go.

I replaced 4ea 96 watts PC and 3ea 250 watts MH with 52 white XP-G and 96 XR-E blue. This is for a 150 gallon 6 ft wide tank. It is so bright that I can't have all the white one at one time.

The tank runs much cooler, chiller is not over work anymore.

PM me your e-mail and I can forward som picture to you.
