Hello All,
I've just got a 55g tank up and running--my first endeavor into marine.
I plan on keeping self-caught legal native species, no corals. I realise the need for live rock and want to abide by the rules of "NO COLLECTING" but was wondering if it were ok to grow-your-own?
I have a neighbor with a dock on the Intracoastal (lucky me! 1 block from the water). If I were to submerge some rock overboard, in order for it to become encrusted, a) how long should I let it grow, and b) what type of rock is recommended?
