Is there anything you can do for me?

Also is the new revised version ready yet?

Here are some photos of my latest rendition of this mod. This design will produce approx. 1800GPH

Now those finger nails match the housing, both very nice.

A friend of mine said to cut the slots you should use a chop/mitre saw and put the blade on backwards. He does everything plastic or vinyl this way.

Hello -

There is a new prop Whitesquall. Out of the masses of these units that have gone out, 3 impellor has cracked.

One of the 3 was broken during assembly.

The new impellor is much better then the old. Anyone who has these mods at home and doesn't have the new impellor will receive their impellors after I have enough to send out.

Those who ordered kits will start to receive theirs soon. Switching to the new impellor took a few more days then expected.

Motorized units (since so many people have been asking me) will be under testing this week and then hopefully available to everyone around the first week of March.

Guards with a closed top will be available in the near future so problems with vortexing and 'surface collapse' will be solved.

Thank you everyone for providing such great feedback.

- Matt

Thanks Rich. That's exactly how I did the slots as well... A miter saw.

I actually used 2 different blades for this. A fine toothed blade made specifically for plywood (and yes it was turned around) and an abrasive masonary blade.

The plywood blade is used for the groove to connect to the MJ body while the masonary blade is used for the slots (wider cuts)

It's very reasuring to hear that you are standing behind your product.... it's guy's like you which make people like us feel comfortable ordering a new product which is still under development...

As you can all see he is a Standup guy...

Matt keep me at the top of you list on new versions.

Thanks
AL.

so what is the flowrate on an mj1200 after the mod, higher? and if so, a lot? i am sure it will be more diffuse, like a tunze, but just curious if it ups the power.

I think I need to get some of these, what's the turnaround time on an order Lutz?

My project of this has been sitting on the shelf for months,in that time you guys have really honed it down damn near to an art!;) I was attempting to do this mod on a penquin660 since looking at them both they nearly seemed identical.Wrong! The shaft is different sized and I cant use the same measurment of carbon rod and have bought 2 different sizes before virtually giving up.Oh well my spare pump comes in handy with water changes :( One of these days......

I did the bag test and my double prop mod filled one gallon in approx. 2 secs, that works out to be about 1800GPH.

Much much more flow as well to being wider and more dsipursed.

Has anyone tried mounting one of these maxi-streams to a wavysea yet?

I'd like to buy a maxi-stream from someone. What's the reputable, quality source for one?

Thanks.

Not exactly on a wavysea but someone else on this thread below tried them on another wave timer and they seem to work just fine.

If you're going to use wave timers on these, you better be sure you have a stopper in your mod to prevent the reverse spinning Unless of course you want pureed sushi :)

any links to the stoppers so I know how to do it? I wanted to order one from matt but want to run it on a timer. although in his PM he did mention a change to the new props that "should take care of reverse spinning" but he didn't say for sure.
