DIY MaxiJet Stream (Pic Intense)

I think you should name your mod (like durso and stockman did for their designs.) Pretty crazy that everyone knows what you mean when you say either name but almost noone has met them. You could be the next up&coming.
Like...the BullDzr PH Mod, BullDzr Mod, BullDzr PH (trying to leave MJ out of the name). Anyways thats a start... maybe someone has a better name.

On towerhobbies, I wonder what is the difference if any between the regular "Hammer" propeller and the nitro "Hammer" propeller. I bet its the same. Normally these would be the same, the only thing one boat would be battery powered while the other is nitro powered. Most part are normally interchangable (sp?).

After looking at that pic, I do believe you are correct. I will go ahead and order these and let you know. That will be alot better than having to wait till the end of the month. Thanks for looking into that. Now I am going to try to find a 3 blade prop for the 1200.

A parts list with pns would be great, Wayne. Sometimes a little difficult explaining to someone what you want when you're in unfamiliar grounds.

I'd vore for the DzrStream. Visions of power!

Tower also have the steal rods you need also, but I
m sure you saw that already. I believe these are the ones you are using.

Are these the ones?

Steel Rods

I use to do a LOT of business with Tower... :p

Actually I went through smallparts.com for the SS. I got 3ft long pieces which dropped the cost on those alittle.

I will try my best to get a parts list together tonight, but not sure yet if I will be able to. Still having to run back and forth to the hospital. My granfather is doing much better, but he is still in ICU so better is a loose word here. God has allowed him some extra time with us and we are greatful for that. He told us the other day he was very tired and was just ready to go home(heaven) so only God knows what is going to happen at this point. The Dr's and Nurses are still amazed at how well he has done up to this point. By all natural means, he should not be here.

I will get one together though by this weekend so please be patient. Have a great day to you all and God bless you along your journey.

I'm sure Tower Hobbies can answer that question for you-

I vote for the "Dzr Stream" too. That should stay below that german company's radar. Go tell your grandfather that you are now a famous inventor/inovator. He should be proud :)

Ok ive got a question and i hope someone has an answer, has anyone made this mod without using the stabilizer in the front. Ive tried several combos i get it putting out quite a bit of flow for my small r/c prop but it still hums a bit cause its off center, i know the fix for this is the stabilizer but has anyone done it without it and it been quiet. Thanks and great mod

I'm glad to hear your grandfather is spending quality time with the family.

I found the shaft locally by going to a welding supply and buying an lb of 316 ss welding rod $11. I don't know what you paid plus shipping but this might be an option.

usually welding rods have a coating of flux or some other compound on them. Do the rods you bought have that?

All the welding rods have that on them but it is easy to remove by tapping it lightly with a hammer and use sand paper to smooth it.

Besides, I made one using my Maxi 1200 without success. It turns the right direction (outside the tank) every time with your new mod, I thought it was great then when I put it in the tank, it turns the wrong direction after 5-10 seconds. I took it out of the tank ( still running) and it turns back to the right direction but when I put it back to the tank and it turns the wrong direction again( no water flow out). I tried it many times and can't figure out what is wrong with it.

yup, what he said. Sounds like it is struggling in the right direction because it cannot pull enough water, so it switches directions. This is one of the reasons I wat to do something a little different with the 1200. I still have not found the right PVC for the job but I am looking.
