DIY Phyto

I have a few clams and I'm trying to grow my own phyto. I have followed some of the instruction posted here, while some people talk about the culture crashing I haven't seen pics or detailed descriptions about this.

How do I know my cultured crashed? or is doing ok?

Your phyto will turn white. If it does leave because it will eventually come back and will be a stronger culture. I've been culturing my own phyto and coppods for sometime now and phyto does crash every once and a while.

The culture is one week old. One bottle is green and the other green/brownish, however I get this color if I shake them a little in the morning and evening (per instruction I read). If I let them sit without shakes the stuff settles in the bottom and the water is clear.
