Sorry if I sound like a simple minded dock, but is wondering if we can do a pre colonizing of the filter media like bio ring before placing in the tank.
Like running the media in a container with small volume of water, dose with bacteria everyday and let it run for a period of time(still researching on the duration) compared to running it in the media compartment of our sump..
Hope to see some inputs on this as I cant find any info on it using the search..
