Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum, and what interested me to join this forum is i wanted your input in the following topic that i'm going to discuss with you;

I'm Starting a DIY tank build. So basically what i am going to do is create a glass tank that i'm going to use as a reef/fish aquarium.

After i create the tank i'm going to Create the stand. And i am also going to create the Sump and incorporate a refugium with it.

so

A) Create Glass tank.
With the proportions of : L60'xW24'xH24'

B) Create the Stand.

C) Create the Refugium.

I'm Going to document this process and periodically share it with you on youtube.

Your Input will be much appreciated and discussed thoroughly. So what i guess i'm trying to do is create a prototype of a tank that i'm going to enjoy and hopefully create duplicates of it in the future.

So feel free to share you input and ideas to the extreme. from the algae scrubber down to the internal overflow....etc...

I'm going to post the schematics of the tank later on, and that should help kick it off.

Meanwhile these are some of the gear i'm thinking of using :

light : 300W R420R Razor LED
Heater : 200W Eheim JAGER Aquarium Heater x2
Skimmer : Super Reef Octopus XP2000SSS 8" Space Saver Cone Protein Skimmer
Wavemakers: Hydor Kolaria magnums

More Later . Thank YOU :fish2::fish2::fish2:

When I saw the 60' dimension i was:eek1: Then I saw your heater size and now I know you meant inches. But a 60' tank would have been mind blowing!:rollface::spin2:
