ok guys, Change of plan.
Talking to everyone at the meeting yesterday it seemed there may be some others interested. The idea of Easter weekend was a bad one, my wife has given me a dirty look, it is spring break. SO, with that being said, it looks like we need to change the date yet again.
So now we are looking at April 14 or April 21. The 14th may not be good because it may interfear with the next club meeting.
So that has us looking at the 21st as the next real oppertunity.
Ifg we do it at my place, I will have some ability to store rock for that firat week of curing iun my garage, but I am not sure how long my wife will want to give up her parking spot for a buch of reef geeks rocks. So anyone one that needs to leave it before it is stable enough to transport can, but I will need to break it out of any molds and such within a week.
I was thinking that if you are not interested in real large rock, you can use a 5 gallon bucket for your "mold box" and that would aloow you to make several rocks opne on top of the other, and easily take them home. For the guys that are looking to make larger pieces, we try and find milk crates for molds, or something like that, again transportable.
Any way. this is going to be a doable project, but if we really want this to be a good sized group, we are going tohave to wait a bit to get the project off the gound.
Greg, I am really interested in getting the oystershells you were talking about. They would be great in the rock. I will shoot you a PM and we can figure something out, maybe there is place up closer to Pasco that has some for sale too.
I am off to the zoo, I will post later and start a materials list.
