DIY "Rustic" Stand

I built my stand, and painted 2 sides of my 55 gallon. My wife didn't like the original stand I had so she wanted me to "pintrest it up a bit." End result I can say I'm way happier with. I still have complete access down below the stand. I cut 3 boards and then nailed the front boards onto them. I used 3 strong magnets to hold the front to the frame.

Wow, looks really quite amazing. Something someone might pay $$$ for to fit their tank into their decor. May be the most attractive stand I've seen anyone build. May I ask what type of wood you used to face it?

I'm all for the "as long as you like it" school of design. It looks like you did a good job with it. I prefer a more traditional style.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and replies. I used construction grade 1x stock. I just stained it with ebony and walnut stain, and sealed it with polyurethane.

I'm more of a modern style stand person myself but after this thing was finished and I brought it in and put it in my living room I was instantly pleased.
