Ok I need some input on my design to convert my 10 gal tank into a sump that is going to feed a 36 gal reef tank.

picture.php

I am using a 600 GPH overflow box to feed the sump. In the intake side I am going to put live sand in one section and have to more section with super porus bio glass about 2 liters before it overflows into the protein skimmer chamber of the tank.

The baffle is to help reduce any bubbles in the system the protein skimmer I am going to use is an in sump Odyssea PS75 then go through another baffle system before being pumped back to the tank. I am going to use an Odyssea WP500 pumping about 550 GPH.

Please give me any input on the design or anything you think might help improve this design.

Thanks,

I'm not exactly sure two bubble traps are required if your return pump is on only one end.

Remember that your evaporation will take place in the return section. Leave enough return section to allow for evaporation without running the pump dry.
