DIY Sump Idea

This is an idea for my sump. The sump will be located on the opposite side of the wall on the backside of my display tank in the garage.

there will be holes of some sort at the top of the barrier between the fuge and the frag. the frag part is just an idea since i have room. i would put a 20" sunpod above this section and some other light above the fuge.... bulk heads not shown.

the overflow is dual with 1" bulk heads. i will combine with a T moving into a
1.5" single drain....

question 1: on return line...should i use 1" pipe all the way into tank including the split into the tank or change from 1" to 3/4" at the split or 3/4" all the way???

Question 2: i heard that 90s on the drain line could cause noise so i have used 45s, is this true and do you see any other noise potentials?

thoughts about anything

thanks again for any input. sorry the pic is so big, cant figure out how to make it smaller, ive tried

I would run the bigger pipe all the way and just do 3/4 at the nozzels. this will reduceyour flow loss due to friction and the head pressure. FWIW, I ran 2" from my pump all the way to the split then went to 1 1/2 and then to 1" for the bulkheads.

Also, I would put you a quick disconnect somewhere just below that overflow box so you can easily remove it if need be (it did suck a fish or two of mine into it and removing it allowed me to dump them out into the tank).
