well since have some free time I took some old parts and made a pivoting are for a power head to ride on.

it is made from a disco ball motor 2 RPM and some junk I had laying around
I am planning on mounting a seao on the end.

keep in mind this is just a prototype.

Are you keeping your tank, or have another set up?

Where is this for?

Neat Idea, and who says disco's dead, It will live on!!

Disco Stu says.... Sure.... you just happen to have a disco ball motor laying around!

Disco is dead, but this concept lives! Neat idea, interested to see how the motor handles the added torque of an operating powerhead.

I bought the motor for this application a few months ago.

After I saw a post of a person mount a seio on a sea swirl, it seamed like a waste to me of a good sea swirl

I have had the unit running for 20 hours with a 5 pound weight on the arm, so far so good. The motor isn’t ever warm.

I cant even stop the motor by hand. Must have some serious gearing. But I guess a 18” disco ball isn’t light .
