Do amphipods eat zoos?

I put a couple of single polyp frags in my tank and after a day when the lights went out I noticed a bunch of amphipods (different names = scuds, side shrimps, Gammarus shrimp) around the polyps. I don't know if they were scavenging because they weren't going to make it or if they killed them. I have a zoo frag that has been in the tank for about 2 months that has had no problems.

I had some amphiopods that ate a pulsing xenia almost to death. I got a small dottyback to fix the situation.

So yes, if there isnt enough food they will eat whatever is avail.

I have what has been called silver pods that are eating the skirts off som of my zoo. The new pipe fish should take care of them.

seem to have the same problem. Lights out and amphipods come out and are hanging out around a colony of zoos. This particular colony isn't doing very well, I think it has that white bacterial or fungal infection as polyps and closing and dieing. Don't know if it's the amphpods doing th damage or are they because of the dying polyps. Not sure I know what to do about this one.
