Do any clams fit into my environment? d

I'd love to have clams soon, and would like to get a choice of clam picked out so that I can research on that particular one. I've just set up a hang on refuge, and will start dosing DTs in about a month and i'd like to get a clam thereafter.

My specs are below, this is a pretty high flow tank and it is sps dominated. I don't have much room on the rocks, especially the upper rocks, and would like to get a clam that would do well on the sand or on a rock that is directly on the sand. I would not like to have anything that will exceed 6". Is there anything that fits into this picture?

Also, recommendations on the best places to get colorful healthy specimens at the best prices would be welcome. Note that i'm not going to spend > 70$ and want to be sure I get a nice one because i'm only planning on one.

Thanks!

Thanks, Ron. I've just ordered the Daniel Knopp book, Giant Clams, should be here w/in a week. Hopefully this will give me a better idea of what i'm dealing with. It's been suggested that I look into Crocea, and so far that looks like a good choice.

Thanks,
Angela.
