Do any of the lfs take livestock for credit?

The red dragon frag I got there was 45. I guess I just prefer to buy frags from other reefers when possible. I travel for work so that makes it easy to visit people who sell frags from their own system. Or trade frags.

Couldn't agree more, however this hobby gets lame without LFS's to visit and support.

I hear ya! I do love going to fish stores. Unfortunately I don't know many other local hobbyists to get frags from.

I've got a whole bunch for trade/sale. What do you keep?

Tried a little bit of everything. so far can't say I had much luck with sps's, hasn't stopped me from trying though. Lol. anemones, hammers, frogspawn, zoas, lobo, some favia, mushrooms, blastos, duncans.

Wow! Nice frags my friend

Thanks. I have sold somewhere around 60 frags this year. I really only frag corals that are encroaching on their neighbors. Most of my colonies were grown out from frags from other reefers. I do have some that are from Aqua dreams as well though.

Oh ok. Yeah I have as well. Really just do SPS now. They are the most dynamic in terms of growth over time. I guess buying LPS is really only practical at a store since the growth is to slow for small aquaculture. Most of it comes from the wild. I do have torch frags available from time to time (1 now) but the growth is very slow.

I do love the sps's although I'm still just a novice! What do you get per frag? More than likely I don't have much you would want on trade.

I only just realized it from this thread but I bought some of sologarths frags a month or so ago. They're all growing like crazy in my tank. The hyacinth Birdsnest has more than doubled in a month and the acro I bought (don't know the name) has completely encrusted the epoxy I used to mount it and started quite a few new stems. He's got some really nice stuff and is definitely worth the trip over to Otis.

Great glad to hear that!

Also I feel like we need a local reef club or group. I've met a ton of people within an hour or so of my house. It would be great to have local frag swaps or what not. Not sure if the area has anything like that currently.

Good idea, I'd second that. I'll have to get together with you to pick up some sps frags sometime.

There's a Western Mass group that is fairly new. They meet in Chicopee, but are not on Reef Central.

A group of us created our own club for this exact reason. We swap jokes, frags, and good times on a daily basis.
