Do clownfish eat anemones?

TankCla

This weekend I saw something really disturbing and I can not understand the behavior.
My anemone is "shrinking" after the 10000k are going off. This is the routine. Every day. Saturday when she was like the picture is showing her, the maroon clown took a bite of her tentacles. Next second I saw a bright fluorescent orange piece floating in the tank, later to be eaten by the clown.
The anemone looks like she does not care about this, but I am.
Is this a normal clownfish behavior?

yes it is - they are not biting - they are sucking the tentacles. anemones will inflate deflate during the day. How long has the anemone been in your system?

sometime maroon or clark will pull tentacles off BTAs. reason unknown. i will put something over the nem like gutter guards.

i will put something over the nem like gutter guards.

This means the clown will not have access to the anemone anymore. Will the tentacles grow back, or she will be tentacle-less over time if the clown do not stop? :deadhorse:

yes, the clown will not have access to the nem for a little bit. most of the case it will stop after a shrot while. the tentacles will grow back once the clown stop pulling them off.
