do clownfish have a spawning dance?

my clownfish were swimming next to each other, but they were going vertically and doing this weird twitch like a dance is this a mating ritual?or a strut?

That was most likely them sorting out dominance and will continue to do this for the rest of their lives. Pre spawning rituals are usually followed by cleaning mostly by the male and both clowns cleaning and it looks like they are standing on their heads.

Agree. They are most likely figuring out which is the dominant fish. Normal behavior.
