do clowns know instinctively to feed it's host anemone? (is it 50/50?)

anyone know if clowns (specically maroons) always feed the host anemone or is this by chance? How would I train my maroon to feed his anemone, is it possible?

I have a maroon hosting in a Bta and I never feed the Bta anymore. Before the maroon I would have to feed the Bta weekly. I think it is instinct that the maroon takes care of the Bta!

I also have two false perc with a Lta and they don't know what it is!!!!!!!!!

I have a captive bred ocellaris that I got as a very small fish - it is trying to feed the toadstool leather that it's hosting in. I think it's instinct.

they arent feeding they are storing food they do the same thing in clay pots and pvc pipes. and they will actually eat on the food all day long if they are left with it.

so can it really be said that they are feeding the host or just greedy and the host takes advantage of it?

also i have noticed from my current clown(WSM) when she gets a flake thats to big she goes back to her pot and spits it out repeatedly to break it up if it was a anemone it would of stole the flake for itself.

I'm a totally BTA newbie, but this is what happened in my tank. Tank-raised Maroon would only eat pellets until BTA was introduced. At first my Maroon was so excited about the BTA and put any and all food into it (whether to feed or to store, who knows).

I've had the BTA over a week now and my Maroon eats most of the food itself, but puts what it doesn't like in the BTA (i.e., likes=mysis shrimp, doesn't like=krill, silverslides, formula2, etc.. Regardless, the BTA doesn't appear hungry at all because I've tried to feed it about a million things and I end up having to take them all out. Thus, whatever relationship they have the seem to be pretty happy with it.
