I am aware that pH affects the ability of corals to calcify, with higher pH making it easier to calcify. Like most aquarists, my tank's pH is lower at night than during the day (like close to 7.8 at night, and 8-8.1 during the day). I am just wondering whether corals do most of their growing during the day or at night. If at night, it would be of greater value to try harder to up the pH at night...
