I know big and well fed anemones split...

I also know they will split if they are stressed & trying to survive or feeling threatened....

I think my smaller bta (5-6 inches)I have had about two weeks may be splitting. It appears happy & healthy... Could it be that small and splitting and still be happy & healthy?

Mine split and it was heathy, now they both are healthy. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=873949 they are both small to. I only had it for a month. I think it could be from being moved, then just leaving it alone. Mine dubbled in size after one month, and the tenticles got very long. But if it is splitting, you wouldn't just think it was, you would know. A sure sign is the foot being on two differn't rocks without being attached to anything in the middle.

PS they can split from being over, or under fed as well. I think I over fed mine two days before the split by giveing it some shrimp twice as big as it's mouth...
