Do hermit crabs eat Chaeto

I placed 2 hermit crabs in my sump and now all my chaeto is gone. Do they eat chaeto?

I would think so. It is a macro algae and hermits do eat algae.

Yes they do . I added a rock with algae and a few mins later all gone

There is very very little that a hermit won't eat if given the opprotunity.

Damn! thats what I thought. Should have known that since they eat algae they'd eat that.

Oh well, anyone have any extra chaeto? lol
