I doubt iodine was the problem...but I would still stop dosing it. I maintain 55 reefs and don't use iodine on one of them. From soft coral tanks to sps tanks they all do fine. It is funny how often I get a new customer and they have all these unnecessary bottles of junk. The LFS are just making money selling things that are not necessary.
