So I bought a pretty good size colony about 4 inches long from another member on the forum about a month ago... i've had smaller frags before and noticed that this one seems to be different... For each set of polyps there is a long single white polyp in the middle... this white polyp is about 2-3x longer than the red polyps surrounding it... The frags I had of the red planet before didn't have that white polyp.... just the red ones... is this a variation of the red planet or did i get something else??

Yeah, that's what I meant.. each polyp has one long white tentacle in the middle

It could be a millepora frag, they will get a longer white tentacle. ORAs Red Planet i would say no. And even if it did look like a Red Planet. Not knowing for sure if it came from ORA would make it a false RP.
A lot of reefers get either lazy or don't know any better and try to falsify a name on a coral by slapping ORAs names on it. IMO if it didn't come form ORA then don't call it ORA.
