Do I HAVE to modify the 14 gallon BioCube?

Hello bio-cubers,
I just got a drop in skimmer from CPR that fits right down the center chamber of my Bio-cube 29. It is one of the first models they made and it pulls out lots of nasty skimmate. The coral growth has increased since adding a skimmer to the system. I don't know if they make a skimmer for the smaller models, but call CPR and check with them. The skimmer fits in without having to mod the hood. Great addition in my opinion.

The thing with an antibiotic is that it has the potential to kill other bacteria along with the cyano. However, cyanobacteria is gram negative and the beneficial bacteria are not harmed...according to the makers of Maracyn. I have heard here on RC and from a very knowledgable woman at the LFS that they have used it successfully without losing the good stuff. My water parameters stayed at zero while I was treating. I also did three large water changes in that time and added another three lbs. of live rock so I feel like I covered all bases necessary. Being a newbie I took the advice I felt I could handle and it is turning out ok so far!

It is good to know about the skimmer fitting into the tank and still being able to shut the lid. I am still undecided about getting one.

So sorry about the massive overload of posts!!! I am not sure what happened!!!!!!

I just put my little clown in my tank and he is a bit crazy right now. I hope he does well. He is just so cute!!! I can see that he has a hard time swimming in my newly increased flow. Does anyone see this being a problem? Or will he just settle on the other side where the flow is not as strong?
