Do I have too much lighting?

I have a 55gal 48"x 18"x 12"

It is the coralife 4 foot fixture... 2 250w MH 14000k, with 2x96w actinic. I have mixed reef some sps a couple zoas and an lps. Rather new tank just getting started. I keep reading sps should get 7-10 watts per gallon? right now I am giving it almost 13 watts per hour... is that okay or should I tone it down somehow?

No, you should be fine. Worst case would be to just keep raising/lowering the fixture until the corals are happy. It's just trial and error from here on out.

are the sps burning up. probably be ok with that. agree you might just have to raise the light some if the sps arent responding well.
