I have some ricordea since Monday afternoon, and they look bigger than 2 days ago, even the smal dots they have are bigger and looking like the pics of full grown ricordea, and they in QT tank with cheap t8 lights.

WOW 85 views and not even 1 answer, but anyway, this is what i'm talking about, should i be concern or happy:

Looks to me like they are acclimating just fine. As long as your parameters are good for them, they will eventually split:)

Looking good! They can expand and contract a fair amount; so they're not so much growing, as "relaxing." :)

I agree with him. They will puff up once they get used to there new home which it looks like they have, they will also strech out and up towards the light if the light isnt enough. Those are nice Rics, and I am sure if you keep them happy they will reproduce little rics for you.

Ricordia In my experience, take a long time to grow. Those are Florida not Yuma and you usually get alot more views than responses.

Agreed. I have one that can double, maybe even triple, in size depending on mood. They can also fold up when upset, although I've found they seem to do that mainly when not attached to something.

I wouldn't call them slow growing or fast growing. It depends on a lot of factors. Feed them and keep them happy and they'll grow quickly.

Mine fold up at night when lights are out, how do i feed then??

The spontaneous growth you are referring too is mostlikely the effects of the coral being disturb and now they appear to be acclimating to your tank. They look very happy.

I just toss a mysis on it during the day, and it'll close up on it and eat it.

Not everybody knows what's wrong when they view your thread. I agree, 85 views is a lot, but you're talking about people who are bored, people that have the same prob, people that don't answer because they don't have a RC account, etc. It can be annoying sometimes... but it is how it is.

you forgot one:

  1. People who are at work cruising the threads when they should be doing something else! We don't have time to post to every thread we look at!
