Do Ricordias Move?

I dont believe they "move" but when they split they can float around in the tank which will cause them to appear in the most random places in your tank:)

Hmmm it split and stayed put for awhile but then appeared to move a very small distance away from it's clone and then poof! It was totally gone.

Ricordea can leave a trail of clones as they move across substrate.

If mama disappeared at trail's end she let go and floated off somewhere...

I don't have Ricordias but I have observed different species move, including common mushrooms and pulsing Xenia.

I have 3 ricordias, started with one. The mother took a walk about 3 months after first added. I thought it was interesting, until it walked next to my chalice and preceded to melt a hole in it. It took about 2 months to move 3 inches.

mine took a walk too and left a few babies in its path. Currently it is trying to slowly climb up some rock.

My metalic orange mushrooms will anchor to a rock leave part of itself then disconnect and float somewhere else. It's a way of reproduction.
