I just looked in my tank and on one of my rock. There is a snail like creature with a very small hard spot on it could it be a snail. I have 5 turbos and 10 ceriths and 10 nassurius snails. it is pretty big for anything but the turbos did i just see a baby turbo. I still cant get my pics on here sorry i can't provide a pic

you usually see eggs first.
Your snail with a 'shell' spot could be a hitchhiker, a stomatella, a very welcome hitchhiker. If it moves fast for a snail, that's what it is.

Yup, I have a ton of those "welcome hitchhikers". Literally, they are all over the place and seem to breed like mad. I knew nothing about them until I read this, but have observed them munching on any unwelcome algea in the tank.

They do move quickly and grow to a fairly good size too.......

Any more information on them?

They go for over a dollar apiece in some markets. ;) That's one, so be nice to them. And outside of that, if you're raising stomatellas, good for you. Good environment.
When breeding, they puff like a locomotive, throwing off clouds into the water. They move like greased lighting---in snail terms, and they clean like bandits.

I think that I got baby snails. Do you think that they breed in captivity? Any idea? I had a bunch of white things in the glass and now there is very tini baby snails growing.I think they are snails. Let me know if that is possible. thanks

Quite possible!

All I can say is that from the moment I put in LR in my tank I noticed a couple of these little fast moving snails and now I literally have at least 30-40 of these little buggers all over the place. There seems to be a constant turnover with them, but I find them just grazing everywhere.

I've found them on the shells of Turbo snails, all over the live rock, corals, substrate, glass and even my powerheads. Anywhere there is a hint of algae they find there way to. I'm pretty sure they aren't the most efficient of algea eaters, but the sheer number of them makes up for it!

yes, they do... my kids LOVE to see all the "babies" on the glass when they come out at night. I'm guessing we have at least 30 tank raised snails.

Yep... Here are some pictures of my baby snails that have started to grow into big snails... There are also, at least, 2 different types of eggs in the pictures

while they resemble turbos, most of the time those stay about the size they're in the picture. I've heard of folks breeding turbos with success, but those I find in my tank are just that size.

Morgan, from Inland aquatics, says those are micro snails... This would make sense, seeing as how CRVZ says they stay that size

I bought a couple of the large turbos a while back for my 65g...

One night I noticed one of the turbos standing up.. and it looked like it sprayed something white and misty out..

Well.. a year later.. I now have 7 medium sized turbos..

So.. yeah.. they will multiply..

Not sure the breeding process of a snail though.
