I have 2 tank bred oc. clowns, I have had them 8 days now, they are the only fish in a 90 gallon tank, and they barely eat when I feed them, if at all. But my tank is slap full of pods, and on occasion Ive seen them picking at the glass. Are they known as pod eaters?

oh that's an easy one...yes.

i have never heard of and would not attempt pods being the majority of their diet - not at all - but my tank bred clowns have eaten copepods on occasion.

perhaps you might try mixing up the food offerings to provide some variety until you find what they like? have you tried Rod's food? seems like a popular choice for people with picky eaters to get them to eat. my clowns like it.

what are you currently feeding?

I'm doing a mix of flakes, straight mysis shrimp, and then a frozen mix of brine, mysis, spirulina etc....There is no reason they shouldnt like it. I talked to the LFS about what they were feeding them, and am doing the same. He explained that since they were in a small tank, with like 20 plus clowns all together they might need some adjustment time being just 2 of them in a 90 gallon. but now 9 days seems a little long IMO.

If you want to perc them up and see them go nuts for something. Typically they LOVE live brine shrimp as its like cotton candy, just make sure to soak it in some amino acids/vitamins to make them more beneficial. Also life blood worms they go nuts for typically.
