Do u QT fish from Diver's Den?

We (Drs. Foster & Smith's LiveAquaria.com - I work for them) ALWAYS recommend QT, no matter where you purchase your fish - from us, from a friend, from a LFS... anywhere. Always, always, always QT.

Absolutely. In addition to addressing any health issues, it let's you adapt the fish to your feeding without interference from established fish.

I usually QT everything regardless of where I got it but I did add one from DD without QT. I bought a 3 1/2" PBT from them and received an 8" fish by accident. He looked too big for my 46g QT tank so I put him directly into the main tank.

I was told that fishes at DD are all under a strict quarantine procedure....do u have any problems with the PBT in your main tank?

They are...but they tell you to qt those fish too....qt is so important...dont risk it, do it...great way to ensure that your dt will be as healthy as possible...

It's good to see so many people recommending QT.

DD does an excellent job to ensure the fish are healthy and eating, but even they can't guarantee they are 100% parasite free. Plus, some fish need to recoup from being caught, bagged, shipped and put into a new tank.
