i just took out about 8-10 pounds of live rock out of my sump and put them back in my main tank. and then i added more sand i had laying around and put it in my tank. will this be ok?
It'll all be just fine. The only reason for having rocks in the sump is to add more liverock to your whole system, if your display is full, and/or to keep pods alive down there away from the predators in the display.
