Do wavemakers get weaker over time.

I was looking at videos from 3 years ago and the stuff is waving around vigorously. Now I am sure I dont have enough which is leading to bad things.
Same MP60s.

I'm pretty sure they do. I had a Jebao that was on steriods for my tank and I had to dial it back to about 25%. Over time (despite regular cleanings) I found myself increasing the speed. Finally, it was barley moving any water on 100% and eventually just stopped all together. I swapped out controllers at various times to see if that made any improvements and it didn't.

This may be a problem. Perhaps some new Jebao pumps. I just received a new MP60 dry side to repair one I dropped. I will compare it to the old one next to it.
I am not investing in 3 new dry sides. ~ $1200 Nope.
I would try the large Jebao copies but didn't see the big one available a few weeks ago when I looked. Just MP40 sized ones.

@JCOLE has used SOW-20s on his tanks. Based on his recommendation I bought some for the upcoming upgrade. These are the biggest Jebaos I’ve ever seen.
