Do wrasses carry parasites?

I was told by a local LFS that wrasses do not carry parasites and do not need to be dipped or put in a QT. Sounds fishy to me.

Wrasses don't carry any special immunity to disease.

They get parasites just like all other fish. Your LFS sounds like they need some more help.

all fish you purchase should be quarantined before going into your main tank---its much more difficult to get them out later
