Biopellets in recirculating reactor or biopellets with addition/replanishment of pellets monthly. 0.0 nitrates and tons of fish in a 110 gallon.
My choices are never on these polls so I won't answer.
Yes, I used carbon sources and they reduced nitrate (primarily), however I saw too many deleterious effects over the years and quit using them altogether. Water changes, proper stocking, light feeding, and good husbandry equal HOMEOSTASIS

Pellets for me as well. Not sure I really ever saw a difference from when I wasn't doing it.
