Do you feed and what?

I bought two zoas last week from my lfs. One they think is a watermelon and they had no clue on the other. It's brown with an orange center and green fringe. When I bought them they said I don't need to feed them and while the watermelon continues to look fine and stay open the unknown zoa is a little droopy and the fringes are losing color. All my water params are where they should be, bulbs are brand new and it's placed in the top half of the tank. So, should I be feeding and what if so? I'll try to post a pic later.

the green on the fringe is not as bright as it was when I first got it. Suggestions on placement for it in the tank?

I usually try to start on the sand, then move up slowly once the piece is happy. Unfortunately, usually, only SPS get that treatment. I usually just glue Zoas in whatever hole I need filled in my rock work. But I am not a big Zoa collector.
Some pieces just need to try a couple of different places to see where they are happy. If you are set with flow and lights, give it a couple of weeks to settle in. If its not happy, move it around and give it more time. Just remember the move you move it, the more settling time you need to give it.

Its my experience though with Zoas, they will thrive anywhere you put them once they settle in. As long as its not 6" in front of a Vortech that is.
