I have a elegance coral it has been in my tank for over a year now. When I purchased it it was about the size of my hand fully open it is now the size of a football fully open. I have never feed it directly do I need to? I feed formula one to the four fish I have daily and feed coral plankton one or two times per week. I just wanted to see the different ways people take care of there elegance corals

Yes, I feed my Elegance corals. I believe they can benefit from the nutrients dissolved in the water from the feedings of the other tank inhabitants. Kinda like second hand smoke. I also believe they benefit from direct feedings of protein based foods like chunks of fish or shrimp. They are not filter feeders. Small particles are simply not large enough to cause a feeding response form Elegance corals. They are ambush predators. They kill animals and eat them.
