Do you guys make any money?

How many of you guys earn a profit from breeding? I'm planning on seting up a room to breed clownfish, dottybacks, gobies, and attempt Centropyge. I would still do it even if there was no profit, I'm just curious.

i commend you for thinking big and considering the importance of breeding marine ornamentals. The reality is that you dont do this for $$-but for the love of the fish, your impact on the ocean and the personal satisfaction.Money is the last part of the equation.
Thats said, to my knowledge there are a handful of hobby level breeders that make any money, most strive to break even. I suspect if your local surrounding areas can support your breeding efforts you'll do well, and all excess fish can be sent to a wholesaler

Make money is that really possible in this Hobby maybe break Even but I have definitely dont make any money if I did it would go right back into it anyways.:jester:
I do also commend you for wanting to get into fish breeding to help our oceans sustain life they need and trying to keep one more fish in the ocean.

Thanks. I understand the importance of aquaculture in our hobby. Technically every fish we raise is one less that has to be taken from the wild.:rollface:
