Ask a price if you have any. I want to see what I can find on a used deal before I order them brand new.

if you are going to buy new I recommend custom aquatics I got my duel 250w ballast for 129.99 it was a great deal.

Both diyreef.com and hellolights.com have 250W MH ballast on sale. hellolights.com has a 250W ARO electronic ballast for $99.99. ARO is a very good brand.

I would also second the ARO Electronics.. I've heard nothing but good things about them.. I use Icecap Electronics and I've been very happy with them.. But ARO's seem to perform just as good and even have higher par readings with most bulbs. They are even about 25 bucks cheaper!.. I plan on giving them a try next time I need a ballast..

Ha I was looking at the ARO ballast myself .Article said it would burn any 250w bulb SE or HQI.Could this really be correct?

I believe that an electronic ballast can run both SE or DE lamps. However, M80 seems to make the bulbs burn brighter.
