I have to agree with Ryan. It does look like Acropora Loisettae Steve Elias Stag. I have a about a 3" frag I'm growing out.
On Tyrees site there's a waiting list deep into 2008.

I can see it. If that frag grew out and where under yellower lights it would give it more of a blue then a purple. but it looks like the same structure and bumpy surface.

Here is the tyree loisettae but it is very misleading. You mainly get that coloration from the VERY top. From the side it is more greenish. You should know since you saw my tank. When I moved it one day, it was absolutely beautiful till it greened up and the top blued up again. I however do not have one like the above. That one is really nice.

This was mine two years ago. It got pretty big before it was sold off with all of the other corals last summer.

i thought i had gotten a piece of that from you while i was there, but my piece is very tourquis right now - great color too!

i know in that Italian thread, they mention using some type of zoe---- something to cheat the color, so maybe that's how they get so blue!

even anative's looks nothing like yours - i really don't understand how they are all the same coral!

you still got my myagi!? probably be ready for it early next month!

Mine's not nearly that blue yet, but it's getting there. I've only had it a couple weeks, but it's sloooooowly coloring up.

I think I gave you one. I don't remember. Was it the frag I had on the sand that I tossed in? If so, yes it is it. I have a darker green one and the other. I got my frag from George and Jo. It actually grows for me.
