do you recommend int or ext pump?

As the topic states, im upgrading my tank to a massive 300+ gallon aquarium and i'm debating on using 1 large external pump, possibly 2, or 2 large internal pumps. What are your experiences with the two? I've always used internal pumps, but I'm trying to cut down on the heat in the aquarium.

I've always used reeflo pumps There not cheap but you can get them to pump a lot of water And I haven't had one failure comes with a good warrantee i'm using one on my 220 gallon Just my opinion good luck

I run a Mag 5 and a Mag 7 internal pumps on my 120. It is a real battle in the summer with the heat. I also run two fans blowing on the top of the tank. My water temp still gets up to 84 in the summertime.

I've always run internal dc pumps. With led lights, i have a heater

I've used both external and internal. I had a leak on an external so moved to using internal DC pumps. I do use fans that turn on with my Apex. I use T5 bulbs. I have my AC set to 73 degrees. Never had a heat issue.
