Do you think that I get a clam"

Hi
I had a 375 L tank for 3 month that I strated with old water and rok from a large well working system.
I moved every thing to my 720 l tank 2 weeks ago.
My water parmeters are fin but the calsium is just 300 ppm.
Do you think I can get a maxima clam?
I have 3 150 W MH.
Al the other stonecorals in the tank looks fin.
Are the Maxims hard to keep?

Best regards Filip

I would try to raise the calcium levels to at least 400ppm and try to keep your alkalinity at least 8dKH. If you feel your water parameters are stable enough, you can try a clam. I would get one that is in the 3" range for starters.

i honestly dont think you would know if your water is stable in 2 weeks. i'd recommend you wait. and in that time work on getting your Ca/Alk up to where they need to be and keeping them there.

Your lighting sounds fine but it's alittle on the low side. Maximas and croceas generally demand higher lighting. Try a derasa? Wait at least 6 months before adding a clam.

Just test my tank calsium last night, it was about 280 ppm. Is it ok to all corals at this time or I need to raise calsium to 400 ppm? If it does, how do I increase it? I have a 90 gal tank

raise calcium up to like 420-480 or soo but at minimum 400 ....even if its coral or clam...just dont have it below 400
