Do Zoas sleep at night?

I was wondering because I just added a brighter nightlight and only some of them are closing up.

I turned the night light to a couple hours and then they turn off till morning when the pcs kick on.


is it bad for them Not to close up?

IME some close and some dont.... shouldnt be an issue

IME mine closed up the first couple days but now for the most part are open at night...im still wondering why though...

Semi Sadly I am only 1 month in.

I say sadly just because there is SOO Much to learn!! and I am impatient. Sleep is overrated so I stay up late reading forums!


My tank is thriving and getting better with every day. Already I want to step up to a larger tank!

Most of mine stay open at night. Thought I would chime in and join the IL posting club . I am away at school, but am from Wheaton. You ever go to the Petland by Fox Valley mall?

Yup, I am five minutes from that petland. I forgot to go there to get some RO water.

I live by eola and ogden.


I was really worried that my zoas might damage themselves by being awake all the time.

Yea i am one month in as well and i am pretty happy with my results and i look forward to the weekends because i know im going to look at a different store and wow its so exciting....its just so hard going slow but i have a couple people that hold me back from going corals manson so im happy .....what do you have in your tank so far Fire?
