Dobie/Magic Eraser

There has been a discussion on our local club's site about the use of 3M's Dobie and the Original Magic Eraser to clean the inside of acrylic and glass tanks. I was at one of our well respected LFS and saw them recommend and use the Dobie. They used it on their acrylic display tank. I have to say that it worked amazingly well. They're one of the top acrylic tank manufactures in the SE, as well have a nationally respected line of skimmers and various other reef equipment. I went and got the Dobie. I read the back of the package after purchasing it and in bold letters it reads "Not for aquarium use." I wanted to see what you all had to say about the product. We all know that Interceptor was not designed for red bugs, but works wonders!

I wouldnt use it due to the warning on the package. I used magic erasers on my acrylic with excellent results. I filleted it into thinner pads and used them on my mag float. Worked like a dream.
