Ive had my 9002 running for about 2 months, and it just starting making micro bubbles in the tank. It also started making this girgling noise once every 10- 20 seconds, and the air valve squeals a little bit if you dont set it just right.. My water levels a half inch below the drawn water line, and i have tried closing the valve and plugging/ unplugging the unit. Please help trouble shoot, thanks

Have you disassembled it in that time? My suspicion is that the jet pipe or the venturi assembly is not firmly on the pump or is clogged. I also got your email so I am just going to ignore it and respond here.

Thanks for the quick reply, I opened up the unit yesterday and everything looked in order. But when i pluggged it back in and opened the valve to where it was producing good skim it now gurgles and sputters. Only way to stop the noise is closing the valve, but then it doesnt make enough skim. Its now producing less microbubbles but sputters like a cappacino machine

Generally this noise occurs when water is entering the air intake line I might suggest a full disassembly and make sure to get all the water out of the airline. Make sure that the green plastic tube and the venturi are firmly on the pump and inserted in the baffle and that the airline is not pinched or kinked. Once water gets in the line, because it has a sort of J bend to it the water stays trapped in the bend like a P trap. This results in the gurgling noise. This usually happens if the water line is too high, even for a moment. It takes a few days to work itself out on its own but after a full disassembly you can get it out and as long as it is not reinstalled too deep it should not come back.

Did the full dissassembly and now the skimmer works great, its alot quiter now and no microbubbles. Thanks for the help
