DOC 9010 question

I have a brand new DOC 9010 that I am using insump in a brand new tank that I added live rock today. I started the skimmer up about 3 hours ago. The foam only comes up to the top of the neck, just below the cup, is this normal at this stage of the game? If so when could I expect to see foam in the cup?

Mine took about a day and 1/2 to start producing skimmate. If yours is foaming like that...it won't be long.

I would give it a few more days as sjediets said, it wont be to long the plastic has some residue from production and the performance changes dramatically after the initial run in period.

bubbles are slowly creeping up the tube. no skimmate yet. hopefully it wont be long

sorry to beat a dead horse but the bubbles are noe flucating up and down the tube now they are back down near where they were on day 1

Now that the skimmer has been running for 2 days close the blue screw and then open 3 turns and wait 12 hours and then adjust quarter turns to decrease or increase foam production.
It is normal for this skimmer to take at least 3 days to to start foaming.
